Parsonage Green in is Harnham, Parsonage Mead is in Wilton and Parsonage Close is in Stratford-sub-Castle. These are to the South, West and North of Salisbury respectively.

Pauls Dene Road and Pauls Dene Crescent are in the Northern outskirts of Salisbury, close to Old Sarum.

‘Dene’ is an unusual word. It’s most common use, at least on the internet, is as the name for a group of Native Americans based in Canada and the Northern United States 1.

Paynes Hill, Salisbury

Paynes Hill is on the eastern side of Salisbury, just inside the Ring Road.

It is probably called Paynes Hill after a Payne family who lived there in the 17th century.1

Penning Road is on the edge of Bemerton Heath, to the North West of Salisbury.

There are two possible derivations of Penning Road, as far as I can see. It’s either:
