Stonehenge wikipedia page created 13th July 2001.png

On the 13th July 2001 ‘Rmhermen’ created a Wikipedia page for Stonehenge[1].

It said:

Stonehenge is the name of an archaeological site located in England, ca. 8 miles northwest of Salisbury. It is composed of a circular setting of large standing stones, dated back to 3100 BC.

The site was added to the UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1986[2].

Out of curiosity, I looked up the creation date for a bunch of other places Wikipedia pages

Eiffel Tower 16:45, 23 April 2001[3]
Stonehenge 13:41, 13 July 2001[1]
Big Ben 21:26, 26 September 2001 [4]
Mount Rushmore 04:09, 21 February 2003[5]
Statue of Liberty 18:42, 22 October 2001[6]
Taj Mahal 22:56, 9 September 2002[7]

The image is my impression of what the 2001 Wikipedia page might have looked like.

I took the earliest capture of the page from the Wayback machine (link) and substituted not-quite-all of the text from the earliest revision on Wikipedia(link). There is no sign of of photo of Stonehenge in the earliest Wikipedia revision….but I thought it looked nice, so I kept it
