7th April 1224 - William Longspee lands at Bourdeaux

On 7th April 1224, William Longspee, Earl of Salisbury, landed at Bordeaux, on his way to suppress a rebellion in Gascony[1]”.
Longspee is a significant figure in Salisbury history - he laid one of the foundation stones of Salisbury Cathedral.
