I like the view of the Cathedral from Castle Street, although I’ve never managed to get photograph that captures it.
I lived away from Salisbury for nearly 20 years and when I came back, it was a surprise that the spire has the windows that you can just about make out in this photo. You can only see the windows from certain angles – I’m not sure whether I hadn’t noticed them before, or whether I’d just forgotten.
