Longford Castle near Salisbury

Longford Castle is opening its doors for regular guided tours for the first time this summer. I don’t know whether this is likely to be just for this year, or whether it’s going to open every year.

The tours are being organised by the National Gallery, which has strong links to the Longford Estate – I didn’t know this but the ‘Ambassadors’ painting by Holbein (the one with the skewed skull) is on loan from Longord. There’s more detail at:
