Salisbury’s Mayor Elect for 2012-2013 is John Collier. The new Mayor’s ceremony is on Saturday 26th[2].

Amesbury Mosaic

I saw the Amesbury Mosaic on the ‘Arts Together’ blog earlier this week[3]. It incorporates Stonehenge, the Ancestor and Amesbury Abbey. I don’t have permission to reproduce the mosaic (I need to work out who to ask), so you’ll have to click the link below to see it. It’s very good

‘Avenue of Champions’ at Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury Cathedral - aerial view from the south east The ‘Big Church’ is hosting Ben Dearnley’s ‘Avenue of Champions’ from 23 June until 16 September 2012. This is a series of sculptures of olympians and para-olympians, including Mark Foster, Ade Adepitan, Steve Williams and Debbie Flood.
