Salisbury U3A Information Sessions

Salisbury U3a 30th ANIV LOGO Salisbury’s U3A (University of the Third Age) are running information sessions at the library in mid-May. The U3A’s website explains what the U3A is:

“U3A stands for the University of the Third Age, which is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment.”

Stonehenge Winter Solstice - sun arise English Heritage has announced details of its ‘managed open access’ to Stonehenge for this year’s summer solstice. Details are at the link below…but my advice would be, I think, to go to the Winter Solstice instead.

The A303: Highway to the Sun

Salisbury Café Scientifique lecture on ‘Immersive Entertainment’

Salisbury’s Cafe Scientifique are hosting a presentation by Dr Nick Lodge on ‘Immersive Entertainment’ which includes ’3D’ among other technologies. Dr Lodge is also going to cover older tech such as Smell-o-Vision and Percepto. Details at the link below.
