Both Salisbury Museum and Salisbury Cathedral are opening on the evening of Friday the 18th May as part of Culture 24’s nationwide ‘Museums at Night’ scheme.

It’s the first time that Salisbury Cathedral is doing this and they are laying on:

a ‘come and sing’ workshop, organ demos, stories and poems in the lantern-lit cloister garden, special mystery object treasure hunts in both the cathedral and cloisters, an introduction to the medieval frieze of well-known bible stories in the Chapter House and a quirky history ‘Things-you-never-knew’ trail of the cathedral

Salisbury Museum has:

Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir, the stories behind some of the museum’s objects with Lizzie Bryant, ‘the characters behind the exhibits’, and a privileged look behind the scenes.
