Great Western Terrace, Salisbury

The road name ‘Great Western Terrace’ no longer exists. The road is now called Windsor Road.

The road name is a reference to the Great Western Railway, which ran from Salisbury to Bath and Bristol.

The road mirrors the still existing South Western Road, which is named after the operator of the line from Salisbury to London – the London and South Western Railway.
