Milford Street is in the centre of Salisbury. It leads east from the New Canal up to Milford Hill.
Milford Street was originally Winchester Street – it would have been the main route out of Salisbury to Winchester. The current Winchester Street was called ‘Wyneman Street’.
Milford Street’s most prominent building is the Red Lion Hotel
