Polden Road, Salisbury

Polden Road, on the South East side of Salisbury, near Tollgate Road, is probably named after the Polden Hills, which are in Somerset.

The Polden Hills are a ridge which running across the Somerset Levels 1. The Polden Hills have Street and Glastonbury at one end and Puriton, near Bridgewater at the other.

The A39 runs along the top of the ridge.
