Sheen Close SP2

‘Sheen’ means shine or gloss, coming from the Old English ‘sciene‘ meaning beautiful.

I think it’s also used to mean river or sea, as in Johnny Cash’s “I Hung my head”1

I set off running
To wake from the dream
My brother’s rifle
Went into the sheen

Update: ‘I Hung My Head’ was, of course, written by Sting, who has a house in the Salisbury area.
