Named after a 15th Century Bishop of Salisbury, Lionel Woodville. This is in common with many of the roads in this part of Bishopdown which also feature Jewell Close, Seth Ward Drive and Fison Way. Incidentally, looking for this road on Google Maps I found there is a “Salisbury Road, Woodville” in Massachussets – it looks a bit less densely populated.
