Richard Cockle Lucase

‘Salisbury’s eccentric sculptor’ Richard Cockle Lucas was born in Salisbury on 24th October 1800.

Lucas sculpted the monument to Richard Colt Hoare at the west end of Salisbury Cathedral, and the statue of Samuel Johnson in Lichfield.[1] Samuel Johnson by Richard Cockle Lucas
